Dopo aver indagato l’albero come punto di congiunzione tra terra e cielo attraverso le buie radici e le fronde luminose, ho realizzato che per capire meglio questi elementi dovevo fare un passo indietro e immaginare di togliere gli alberi dal nostro sguardo e osservare gli elementi naturali nella loro essenzialità.
Lo sguardo si stende lontano senza ostacoli fino ai margini del visibile indicando l’Orizzonte come sorgente dello sguardo.
La mia fascinazione è là, è ciò che c’è oltre, oltre i limiti fisici del vedere ed è per questo che le fotografie di questo progetto sono state scattate con un teleobiettivo, è il tentativo è di avvicinarsi all’Orizzonte immaginando di poter gettare uno sguardo OltreOrizzonte.
L’OltreOrizzonte è una non-linea, è un limite in realtà, imposto da un punto di vista, ma è anche la possibilità di vedere il confine tra il finito e l’infinito.
After looking at a tree as the point of conjunction between earth and sky, by way of its dark roots and luminous branches, I realised that in order to get a better grasp of their constituents I had to step backward and imagine the removal of the trees from view in order to observe those natural elements in their very essence.
Our line of vision extends unbounded to the edge of the visible, pointing toward the horizon as the source of our viewpoint.
My fascination lies there and farther off, over and beyond the physical limits of sight. That is why the photographs in this project were taken with a telephoto lens, in an attempt to almost touch the Horizon whilst trying to imagine a glimpse of what lies beyond it.
The BeyondHorizon is a non-line, it is a real limit, imposed by a point of view, but it is also the possibility of seeing the borderline between the finite and the infinite.
